100 Spanish Verbs - Mastery Fall 2013 Smart Goals


Cien verbos...

Students in Spanish classes have already taken a baseline pre-test (not part of their grade) to document their prior knowledge. From the beginning of the second quarter students will be tested weekly or biweekly and will keep track of their progress toward the goal. 

A practical and sometimes fun way to study for these mastery tests is by heading to Mrs. Palumbo's Quizlet set titled:
Spanish 1A - 100 Verbs Test


Students in Spanish 1 will achieve mastery (80% or better) in identifying the meanings of 100 of the most frequently used Spanish verbs by the completion of the fall semester.  Students have already taken a baseline pre-test (not part of their grade) to document their prior knowledge. From the beginning of the second quarter students will be tested weekly or biweekly and will keep track of their progress toward reaching or going beyond 80% mastery.   The tests will continue for nine weeks and will also be a portion of the final exam. Each test after the baseline test will be entered as a grade.  As we near the end of the semester the tests will count for a higher and higher percentage of the overall semester grade. 


Students will chart their progress on a graph such as the one below:
